Practice English speaking

Practice English speaking the only way that works: out loud, with someone who answers.

You can know every rule and still freeze when someone asks you a question. Reading, listening and tapping words on a screen do not train the mouth. Talkexa is built for the part that gets you stuck: you practise English speaking by speaking, and the AI partner talks back.

Talkexa 1.4 preview: English conversation with a labelled Tap to speak button

Speak, don’t tap

Most English apps test recognition: pick the right word, arrange the tiles, match the audio. That builds knowledge, not speech. To practise English speaking you have to produce a sentence in real time, hear how it lands and adjust. Talkexa keeps you in that loop. Hold a real conversation about your day, your job, your plans; the partner replies naturally and keeps it going, so you spend the session talking instead of matching.

Corrected while you talk

The difference between practising alone and practising with Talkexa is the correction. Say “I like to go to gym” and the reply comes back with “Better: I like to go to the gym,” a one-line reason in your own language, and a question about what exercises you enjoy. You repeat the better version, answer the question, and the conversation moves on. Mistakes get fixed in the sentence you actually tried to say, not in a grammar chapter you would never connect to it.

  • Voice in, voice out — you hear the answer, not just read it
  • Better version of your sentence in the same reply
  • Why it is better, explained in your language
  • Follow-up question so you never run dry
  • Text mode when you would rather type

Rehearse the real thing

Practising English speaking is most useful right before you need it. A job interview in English. A first call with a client. Ordering in a restaurant abroad without switching back. Tell Talkexa the situation at the start of the session and practise it before it happens. The tutor stays in character enough to be useful and steps out to correct you when needed.

See the progress

Every session ends with a report: grammar corrections, vocabulary improvements, better sentences, a summary and recommendations. Your latest session stays in History on the free plan; Premium and Pro Max keep the full history so you can look back over weeks. The free plan gives 5 minutes on day one and 3 minutes every day after — enough for one real exchange and a report daily.

Frequently asked questions

Can I practise English speaking as a complete beginner?

Yes. Set your level to beginner and the tutor keeps a gentle pace with short replies. Corrections are always explained in your own language.

How much speaking practice is free?

5 minutes on your first day, then 3 minutes every day. Premium adds 10 minutes a day and full history; Pro Max adds 30 minutes a day.
