Give your practice interview a clear brief
Start with: “Act as an interviewer for a customer support role. Ask me one question at a time in English. Begin with a question about my experience.” Replace the role with your own goal, but leave out private employer details.
If a question is too difficult, say “Could you ask that in simpler English?” This is also a useful clarification phrase to practise for a real interview.
Build an introduction you can actually say
Use three parts: what you do, an example of your experience and why the role interests you. For example: “I work in customer support. In my last role, I helped new customers get started with our service. I would like to use that experience in a larger team.”
This is an illustrative answer, not a script to claim as your own experience. Replace each detail with something true, then say it without reading. Focus on being clear rather than memorising every word.
Practise the follow-up, too
A good rehearsal goes beyond a prepared introduction. Ask the AI tutor to follow up on a detail in your answer. Try explaining what you did, why you chose it and what you learned.
- Tell me about a time you solved a problem.
- How would you explain your work to someone outside your team?
- What would you like to learn in this role?
- What questions would you ask the interviewer?
