Talkexa 1.4 preview: English conversation with a labelled Tap to speak button

Start with a situation from your working day

Give your AI tutor a role and a clear task. You might ask it to act as a colleague asking about a project, or a customer who needs a simple explanation. Use a fictional project and invented names so you can focus on your English without sharing confidential work.

  • Project update: what is done, what is next and where you need help.
  • Meeting: ask someone to clarify a deadline or explain a decision.
  • Small talk: introduce yourself and ask about a colleague’s role.

Three prompts you can try today

“Act as a colleague. Ask me for a short project update, then ask one follow-up question at a time.”

“Let us practise a meeting. Explain a change to a deadline and let me ask for clarification.”

“I am meeting a new teammate. Help me practise introducing my role in simple English.”

Make a short answer clearer

Try this answer aloud: “We finished the first draft. We are checking the details today. I need your feedback by Thursday.” It gives your listener progress, a next step and a request. Then change the example to a fictional situation you understand well.

You do not need to fill a conversation with complicated business vocabulary. Ask your tutor for a simpler version when a reply feels too formal. Repeat the useful sentence using your own details.

Turn feedback into your next attempt

End your Talkexa session and read the grammar, vocabulary and phrasing feedback. Pick one change to use in your next conversation. Free accounts can revisit their latest session; paid plans include full conversation history.

Talkexa provides conversation practice rather than a structured business qualification. AI suggestions can be imperfect; use your own judgment about workplace tone and factual accuracy.

A short workplace practice routine

  1. Set the scene

Choose English and your level. Tell the tutor which workplace situation and role you want to rehearse.

  2. Give one short answer

Speak or type an update with a result, a next step and a question.

  3. Handle a follow-up

Listen to the reply. Ask for clarification if you do not understand.

  4. Review one sentence

Open your session feedback and practise one improved sentence in your next session.
